With over 28 years of experience, I'm a versatile tattoo artist who masters various styles, from realistic and black & grey to fine line, tribal, lettering, and cover-ups.
My goal is to create tattoos that truly suit the wearer. That's why I prefer to work with my own designs, so each tattoo is unique and personal.
Of course, customers with their own ideas or designs are also very welcome. Together, we'll translate your vision into something lasting and personal.

THE PROCESS
APPLYING A TATTOO
During the tattoo process, ink and pigment are injected under the skin using small needles. This creates a lifelong image.
The ink pigments must meet strict requirements. This is monitored by the Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority. Before the tattoo is applied, the skin is cleaned and disinfected.
If necessary, the skin is shaved. This
must be done with a new disposable razor. Applying a tattoo should be as hygienic as possible. This means that the needle that goes through your skin must not have been used before, must come from a sterile package, and
Must not be touched with bare hands. The ink used must also be sterile. The ink used for you is in a small ink cup and is only for your use.
Any remaining ink is discarded. During
Tissues are used for applying the tattoo. Of course, the tissues must be clean and discarded immediately after use.
The tattoo artist wears gloves while applying your tattoo and changes them every time they touch anything other than the tattoo machine, a tissue, or your skin.
Afterwards, the tattooed area is cared for and covered.
AFTERCARE
​During the tattooing process, the skin is broken, resulting in a wound. If you take good care of the tattoo, it takes approximately six weeks for this wound to heal.
​If the tattoo is covered with a sterile compress or cling film (household foil), you may remove this after 3 to 5 hours. Wound spray or self-adhesive transparent film should remain in place until it wears off or falls off naturally. You are allowed to shower with a new tattoo.
​Treat the uncovered tattoo wound as follows:

​Wash the tattoo twice a day with a mild, unscented soap.

​After washing, pat the tattoo dry with a clean towel.

​Apply an ointment that you received from your tattoo artist or that he or she recommends.
​During the healing process, make sure you:

​Touch the tattoo wound as little as possible (always wash your hands before caring for the wound).

​Do not scratch the tattoo wound.
-
​Do not cover the tattoo wound with tight or dirty clothing.
-
​Do not cover the tattoo wound with plasters (band-aids) or bandages.
-
​Avoid (bubble) baths, swimming pools, saunas, and steam rooms.
-
​Do not expose the tattoo wound to sunlight or sunbeds.
​Important Note:
​The tattooed skin remains very sensitive to sunlight even after healing. Therefore, always apply sunscreen to your tattoo.
​Caution: Contact a doctor (GP) in case of extreme redness, swelling, bleeding, discharge, color changes, or chronic pain.

At least 2 years of shop experience in a professional tattoo studio.

Registered as a self-employed person without employees
Works hygienically, professionally and with respect for customers and colleagues.

TATTOO BY APPOINTMENT
At Flaneur's Tattoo Studio, we work by appointment only. This allows us to deliver the highest quality, comply with all hygiene guidelines from the Municipal Health Service (GGD), and give every client our undivided attention.
A tattoo is a personal work of art that will last a lifetime, so we think it's important that you think carefully about your choice before making an appointment.
We offer tattooing for those aged 16 and over. For each session, we ask for a consent form and valid ID.
When booking an appointment, we require a deposit of €25, depending on the design. This deposit will be deducted from your tattoo appointment.
Are you unexpectedly unable to attend? Please let us know at least 24 hours in advance. If you don't cancel in time, your deposit will be forfeited as a booking fee.
